The MBBC Medal

Celebrating the achievements of past students, providing inspiration for current students and the Community.

2026 Nominations open now.

Families are warmly invited to nominate a former College student who they believe would be a worthy recipient of the 2026 College Medal.

The College Medal recognises past students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement, leadership, service, or contribution to their community or profession. It is an opportunity to celebrate individuals whose character, dedication, and accomplishments reflect the values and spirit of the College, and who serve as an inspiration to current and future students.

The 2026 College Medal will be formally presented at Foundation Day on Thursday 21 May, a special occasion in the College calendar when we come together to honour tradition, achievement, and community.

We encourage families to consider graduates who have made a meaningful impact locally, nationally, or internationally — whether through professional excellence, community service, innovation, or commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. Nominations should be submitted via email to PAPrincipal@mbbc.qld.edu.au.

Please include the nominee’s full name, year of graduation (if known), and a brief statement outlining why they are deserving of this prestigious recognition.

We look forward to receiving your nominations and celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of our alumni at Foundation Day.

Blake Proverbs, Class of 2013, has made a name for himself as a dedicated and talented athlete, recently claiming his first professional title at the Webex Players Series. His victory in a thrilling three-hole playoff not only marked a major milestone in his career but also demonstrated resilience, composure, and determination that define a true champion.

Blake’s impact extends far beyond the leaderboard. His commitment to fostering community engagement and upholding the values of Engagement, Character, Care, and Teamwork the very pillars of our College; makes him a role model for current and future MBBC students.
