The programme is developed in consultation with children, parents, the school community and team members. It is tailored to cater to the children’s age, skill, interests and abilities, through a variety of challenging and recreational activities. Boys can take advantage of the College’s great outdoor facilities, such as the oval, the Prep playground and sandpit area, as well as enjoying the indoor activities provided. This includes a great selection of art and craft, board games, construction blocks, roads and cars, and Lego. In the mornings the boys enjoy lots of one-on-one time and can experiment with more intricate activities such as origami.
Opening hours
Before school care
- During term time between 6.30am–8.25am, Monday to Friday.
After school care
- During term time between 2.30pm–6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Vacation care
- During Moreton Bay College holidays and pupil free days between 6.30am–6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
The OSHC Centre is closed on public holidays and for a two-week block at Christmas. Please see the coordinator for the closing dates each year.
Food
We provide healthy, tasty and nutritious food for breakfast and afternoon tea during term time and include morning tea at Vacation Care. Our menus cater for any special dietary requirements, including children with allergies or cultural needs, and they take into consideration each child’s preferences. The menu changes each week.
Access to OSHClub at MBC
During term time, the boys from MBBC are welcome to catch the bus across to MBC for After School Care, if this is more convenient for families. An OSHClub team member will meet the bus and walk the boys to the service. Boys coming to MBC to attend swimming or other extracurricular activities offered at MBC can be enrolled in the service. They will receive afternoon tea and be cared for at the service before and after their activity, and until they can be collected by their families. During Vacation Care families can choose which programme their girls and boys would most like to attend. An on-site option will always be offered at one of the campuses.
Enrolment and bookings
All students attending OSHC must be registered. Enrolments and bookings are made online through our secure system available through our website www.oshclub.com.au.
There’s no enrolment fee, so please enrol, so we already have your details if you need the service at short notice.
