The Moreton Bay Colleges appoint new CEO and Executive Principal

Today, the Board of Moreton Bay College and Moreton Bay Boys’ College announced the appointment of Mr Richard Henry to the role of CEO and Executive Principal for Moreton Bay College and Moreton Bay Boys’ College.

An internationally experienced educational leader, Mr Henry brings to the position a global perspective along with extensive knowledge of educational programmes, curricula pedagogies and standards. In leading a college community, Richard has demonstrated the importance of innovation, assuring quality and enabling excellence.” said Ms Samantha O'Brien, Chair of the Board.” The Board and our college staff are looking forward to working with Mr Henry to further develop and implement the strategic vision for the colleges to continue to deliver an outstanding student experience.”

Mr Henry will assume the role of CEO and Executive Principal of Moreton Bay College and Moreton Bay Boys’ College effective Monday 12 July 2021, starting a new chapter in the history of the colleges.

Mr Henry currently holds the position of Regional Director – East Asia GEMS Education and Head of School GEMS World Academy (Singapore) where he is responsible for 2500 students at four campuses across three countries. His previous experience is extensive and includes Director of Global Services, Head of Development and Head of School Services at The International Baccalaureate in the USA and the Netherlands and Head of School, Secondary School Principal, Head of Department (Science) at the Global Jaya International School – Jakarta. Mr Henry started his career in Brisbane as a teacher and Head of Department (Science) before moving to Jakarta.
